PUBLIC POLICY

What is the Public Policy track?

The public policy track of the Ecological Belonging Initiative explores the critical role of intergenerational dialogue in civic education, focusing on the diminishing role of elders and the challenges of modernizing traditional methods. This track addresses barriers and enablers of intergenerational dialogue, reflects on fundamental societal questions, and emphasizes the evolving role of elders in nurturing civic values. Additionally, it examines policy-driven design for intergenerational cooperation and elder-led empowerment in civic education, aiming to shape impactful policy recommendations at various levels.

This track will later contemplate on other topics like city and urban design, the relationship between policy and sense of belonging/connection, and more.
