Announcing New Track: Hearth Dinners

Oftentimes, our strongest moments of connection to ourselves and others occur when we gather in a community around dinner. That is the central idea of our latest track, Hearth Dinners.

At these dinners, we come together as participants engage in conversation, questioning and reflecting over “How we Live?” while dining together in a way that is locally rooted, from the food to various rituals and traditions. Together, we reflect on what it means to gather and belong.

The inspiration behind this idea came from wanting to engage in this idea as a community. To be able to connect to our land (through our food), to each other (through our company over dinner), and to ourselves (through reflective questions). It is our intention that these dinners will make space for curiosity and reflection for both individuals and communities.

The first of these dinners took place in Paris, France, hosted by the Co-Lead of the Wellbeing Project, Aaron Pereira. Because this was a first attempt at hosting something like this, we were excited to see that people really engaged with ideas and concepts. When describing the dinner, Aaron was excited to share that, “It became a truly beautiful conversation.”

Here are a few snippets of reflections from two of the dinner attendees. These reflections derive from conversations that came together over a magical night in Paris.
