Updates from the Tracks - Ritual Alchemists, Hearth Summits, and More!

Ritual Alchemists Selected for 6 of the Regional Hearth Summits!

We're proud to introduce the six artists who will take on the role of Ritual Alchemist - creating unique and magical experiences, together with local communities, around the concept of Ecological Belonging at each regional Hearth Summit in 2024.

The Summits are being held in Austria, Brazil, Colombia, India, Japan and Senegal. They will be a place for changemakers to explore and celebrate wellbeing for social change through themes such as the arts, trauma and healing, ecological belonging, community and belonging, and systems change.

In the lead up to the events, the Ritual Alchemists will be accompanied on their journey of developing their artful experiences by CAN's Senior Artistic Advisor, Yazmany Arboleda (@yazmany ), and CAN Science and Technology Advisor, Pal Honti (@puttomobili ).

Regional Hearth Summit in Bogota, Colombia!

The Hearth Summit in Bogotá was a pivotal event for changemakers in the corporate sector, focusing on advancing the wellbeing movement in business through the concept of Ecological Belonging. Over two days, executive leaders, sustainability experts, and wellbeing professionals converged for keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops that addressed Sustainable Work, Sustainable Ecosystem, and Sustainable Planet. Central to the discussions at Hearth Summit Bogotá was Ecological Belonging, emphasizing the importance of integrating environmental sustainability into business practices. Participants explored methodologies for promoting systemic change, ecological regeneration, and corporate responsibility. Through a combination of expert insights, case studies, and interactive sessions, the summit fostered a shared vision of sustainability that enhances both business success and societal wellbeing. Leaders left equipped to implement sustainable practices that contribute to a healthier planet and more resilient communities.

Expanding the Ecological Belonging Community: Announcing NEW Exploratory Group

In our ongoing efforts to 'renew' our sense of belonging and hold space for Collective Reflection, we recently opened an exploratory group call for a diverse array of individuals deeply interested in this topic. This group, which includes practitioners from adjacent fields, storytellers, artists, and more, represents an international audience, united by a common passion for Ecological Belonging.

During our call, we delved into what drew us to Ecological Belonging, shared stories of land or water that make us feel connected, and explored the questions and curiosities that arise as we contemplate our relationship with the natural world. This initiative aims to deepen and expand the roots of Ecological Belonging globally, fostering a renewed sense of connection and community.
