Call for ‘Re-Visionaries’ Applications: Policy, Civic Education, and Intergenerational Dialogue

📣We are happy to announce a collaborative NECE Lab series dedicated to rethinking the critical role of intergenerational dialogue in civic education. THE CIVICS Innovation Hub & The Wellbeing Project join forces to create a space where we can discuss the diminishing role of elders in civic education and the challenges of modernizing traditional methods.

Join us in re-visioning the role of elders in nurturing civic values!

This series will occur in three parts:

I. Session, 12 September 2024, online, dedicated to barriers and enablers of intergenerational dialogue, focusing on the disconnect between traditional and modern civic education methods.

II. Session, 9 October 2024, online, will involve a deeper reflection on fundamental questions like “How should we live together?” and the evolving role of elders in society.

III. Session, 16 November 2024, in-person, at the NECE Festival in Tirana, Albania, focusing on policy-driven design to develop concepts for intergenerational cooperation and elder-led empowerment in civic education.

💡We invite researchers, policymakers, civic educators, community organizers, activists, thought leaders, non-profits, social entrepreneurs, cultural workers, and university students to apply. Participants will get the chance to connect with a diverse group of experts and peers, and help shape policy recommendations impacting civic education at various levels.
